CRY – Child Rights and You, India’s leading child rights organisation along with its partners CRY America and CRY UK (in the US and UK respectively) launches a series of web-based games targeted worldwide at the rapidly growing global online community in a novel way to garner interest and motivate people to act for Child Rights. Using a fun element, the site www.playforcry.org, tackles the serious and urgent issue of violation of child rights through a series of three extremely popular games — Crossword, Sudoku and Hangman. At various points in the game, different messages about child rights and a variety of children’s issues will be featured. These messages involve the audience and induce them to forward it to friends. Each game will run for two weeks, making the entire period a total of six weeks in all. The main page will have three geographical options to choose from — the US, UK and India/ Rest of the World. Apart from facts that inform and motivate, the www.playforcry.org site offers an opportunity to do something for a better today and tomorrow for our children. It is a novel mode to garner support that will enable CRY to continue to work so that children can have a childhood they are entitled to. Playing each game gives points – for donations and invitations to friends. source - Indian express
